Outreach to schools and colleges in Chennai (and more!)

(A) If you teach in an undergraduate college or in high/middle school in Chennai, and wish to have me over for a chat with your students, please write to me. I am not sure if I can respond positively to every letter I will receive, but I will try my best. On an average, I set aside one weekend per month for such outreach. If I receive an email from you, I will let you know if I can make it that month. I am interested in talking to students who ask child-like questions about the world we live in. I am such a being, and it is always nice to meet kindred spirits!

(B) If you are a student at any level, in any of the universities and colleges around; you are welcome to call and come down to meet me. I am always open for engagement. In fact the group currently has an increasing list of interns from across the country, that work with us, on a very flexible basis on research problems. For eg. during the summer of 2017, we had 20+ students working with us (almost all based off Chennai with few exceptions). We work together, and solve interesting problems, and finally publish them internationally. It is my aim to ensure exposure of the best kind for all research oriented students whom I ever interact with. We as a group are enormously open, and have been engaging with students from across various disciplines (materials, metallurgy, physics, chemistry, electrical engineering, applied maths, chemical engineering, biotech, pharma).

In short, our work is such that it enables us to do innovative work in a manner such that the disciplinary boundaries do not come between us. However I do expect all student who engage with me to be extremely sincere, diligent, hard working, and true to their word. That's all! The rest shall follow. :)
