Info on scholarship opportunities for young Indians

Thankfully we are coming of age as a country, and there are organizations across the sub-continent that are chipping in with scholarships (small and big, long term and short term) for young people who have promise. Another very positive development are scholarship programs that are available for young people who find it hard to go through our school system for financial reasons.

Here is a good place to check out the top few scholarship programs for children (Class 1-12)

If you are in middle or high school, and looking for talent search exams that lead to financial assistance, here is a list that might be helpful:

For undergraduate science, engineering and management students, here are a few places you could look into:
(i) O. P. Jindal scholarships http://www.opjems.com/
(ii) Indian Oil Corporation scholarship ,a href="http://www.iocl.com/Aboutus/Scholarships.aspx">http://www.iocl.com/Aboutus/Scholarships.aspx
(iii) Foundation for Education fellowships http://www.ffe.org/
(iv) A repository of national and international scholarships for students of various disciplines can be found here. http://scholarship-positions.com/

PS: I am not a placement officer. So I am not aware of all the programs available for you. The above list is not exhaustive by any measure. Please put Google to good use, and find opportunities for yourself. But the above mentioned websites are good places to begin your search for financial support.
